Forensic Science

This week in Science we learned about forensic science. Shane our science teacher set up a crime told us all of the information about the crime. We investigated suspects but first, she told us what Forensic Science is. She said Forensic science is when people go and investigate a crime. They get a lot of samples from the scene. Also from the suspects they interview. Next, she explained all of that then we finally got to investigate and interview. She told us all of the suspect’s names. They were Kenny Holdit, Stanley Wings, Heidi Seekie, Vera Cruise, and Carie Oaky. The victim’s name is Sandy Beech. Next, she told us Sandy was not harmed so she seems to be poisoned. Her friend Vera Cruise and her were gonna go ice skating at 10:00am.We all walked over to the crime with paper and clipboards put on gloves and investigated. First, we saw threads of red fiber, the tracing of the body, peanuts, there were also soda cans there was coke and La Croix. We investigated all over found a lot of clues. Next, we interviewed the suspects and Stanley seemed to be the most guilty. We also asked them all for their favorite markers. Right now we are doing science with alcohol paper strips and on each paper strip, there is a line of the marker. They soak in the alcohol for about twenty minutes and when we were investigating we also found a note that said give it now. We cut up the note and each got a part of it we put it in the alcohol and saw what marker strip was the closets. Color or very similar to the note and Stanley’s marker was the closets we are still investigating because we think Stanley is the murder a red hearing or is being framed. Ink is a mixture so I traveled up the strip.
