Matter is EVERYWHERE

This week in science we learned about matter. We did science experiments about volume density and mass. First, we filled out papers asking if we knew what matter was. What we wanted to learn about matter so we filled those papers out. The science experiments we did was we used a graduated cylinder, water, scale that measured grams, and three objects that had a different amount of mass. We got water and the first time filled the graduated cylinder up with thirty milliliters of water. The first object we put in the water was a marble the water only moved two milliliters. Next, we got the beginning answer then our final answer. The original answer was thirty subtract thirty-two and it was two. Next, we weighted the marble and it weighted six grams. We multiplied two by six and the density of the marble is twelve. We did that with the rest of the objects that were a cylinder and a circular stopper of some kind. Matter is anything that has mass or volume and takes up space. We also watched a video it showed people using science to rescue an elephant out of an empty well. They filled the empty well up with water and the elephant started to rise up and got rescued. Shane thought us this trick on how to remember mass over volume. She showed us don’t break my heart she drew a heart and a line through it. Then did ass over olume the top of the heart was an m for mass and the bottom of the heart was a v for volume. It was pretty funny too.

I really like the way you worded your sentences at talking about all of them in detail. I enjoyed looking at the effort that you put into the blog good job!

    sencerly,
